I did not find a possibility to have a diagram in Calc that is fed with the 
data resulting from a base query.

One can only copy the data into Calc which one has to do everytime the 
database changes. Instead it should be possible to assign a query from a base 
file to a diagram or at least to an area in a sheet that is updated 
automatically when the sheet is opened or manually via the diagram's 
context-menu.

It's a more general wish than issue 11154.

In the meantime, you can use the DataPilot, if your table or query has not more
than 8 columns. Drag all fields to the left list in the DataPilot dialog. Build
your chart on the DataPilot output.
