Description alan 2005-05-26 07:59:27 UTC
In the attached Writer document, the first two lines of Hebrew text were copied
to the clipboard, and then pasted into the same document. The text display was
corrupted, as the screenshot shows. When the file was saved and then re-opened,
the pasted text appeared correct.

Should be fixed in current versions; pls refer to issue 43933 and follow-ups.
Would you pls. try a current build from the location below [1] and report your
findings back. Thx.

Set target.

ayaniger -> us:
It's not fixed in the current version. I made my test on an m104 binary for
Windows that I downloaded this morning.
Comment 7 alan 2005-05-26 12:46:16 UTC
ayaniger -> us:
Correction: My problem on m104 was when I opened the attached file, which was
created on m95. If after opening the file, I copied and pasted the first two
lines, the display was corrupt. However, if I created a new document in m104,
then copy and paste worked correctly.
Comment 8 ulf.stroehler 2005-05-26 13:49:03 UTC
@ayaniger: thanks for the update. Does that mean the issue is not reproducible
for you in m104? If so, would you mind to close?
Comment 9 alan 2005-05-26 20:06:11 UTC
ayaniger -> us:
Actually, the problem is reproduceable, if you open an Writer file from a
previous version of OOo, including 1.1.4, then try to copy and paste. (I've
attached a file with the same text, as created and saved under 1.1.4.) While
there is probably no need to deal with files created on m95, I would say that
there is a need to deal with this problem on files from 1.1.4. So I'll leave the
issue open.

Comment 11 ulf.stroehler 2005-05-27 10:03:20 UTC
Honestly, I consider this issue a minor unpleasant behaviour (you will probably
see things different). But considering the amount of issues we already have for
2.0.1 with much bigger impact, there is little hope that this one ever gets fixed.
Hence I plead for closing. What do you think?
Comment 12 alan 2005-05-30 06:57:41 UTC
ayaniger -> us:
I'm not in favor of closing this issue, since this will be a problem for Hebrew
users of OOo 2.0. Since there are issues with higher priority which are keeping
you very busy, I'll reassign this issue to myself. Once I get to it, I may ask
you for some guidance. TIA.

Note : a workaraound: mark the text, align left, then re-align right, and the
display is fine
